Delegation of the Tomsk Scientific Center of the SB RAS successfully completed its work at the Forum TECHNOPROM-2022

The delegation of the Tomsk Scientific Center of the SB RAS worked in Novosibirsk at the IX International Forum of Technological Development TECHNOPROM-2022. As a result, a scientific and technical cooperation agreement was signed with the Siberian Federal Scientific Center for Agrobiotechnology of the Russian Academy of Sciences, as well as promising contacts were established with large Russian companies, such as Nornickel, Gazprom, medical, construction, and shipbuilding companies.

One of the most promising and dynamically developing areas of science worldwide and in Russia is digital agronomy. It is very important to collect and analyze a variety of meteorological data to provide recommendations for agronomists to make the right economic decisions. For example, some areas need to be harvested earlier, or the risk of plant diseases is very high, and so on, says Alexey Markov, director of the TSC SB RAS.

The digital agrometeorological system Agropogoda, developed by scientists of the TSC SB RAS and the Institute of Monitoring of Climatic and Ecological Systems of the SB RAS can solve these problems. Agropogoda continuously monitors all the main parameters of the atmosphere and soil even under the most difficult weather conditions, and its software and online tools are convenient and easy to use. The representatives of the Siberian Federal Scientific Center for Agrobiotechnology of the Russian Academy of Sciences are interested in this smart system.

Combining the competences of specialists from Tomsk and Novosibirsk will enable the successful development of projects related to the creation of such digital assistants for agronomists, says Aleksey Borisovich.

Representatives of the Mining and Metallurgical Company (Norilsk Nickel) highly appreciated another development of the TSC SB RAS – the technology for producing intermetallic products for filtration of corrosive media by self-propagating high-temperature synthesis in mixtures of nickel and aluminum.

It is important for Nornickel to manufacture products locally using its own raw materials in a cost-effective way. Therefore, in the near future, a delegation from the TSC SB RAS should visit Norilsk to discuss further cooperation, said Anatoly Maznoy, head of the Laboratory of Physical Activation.

Chief investment officer of NTI Dionis Gordin pointed out the advantages and prospects of implementing another development of the TSC SB RAS presented at the exhibition – porous burners made of intermetallic alloys. Preliminary agreements on deliveries of industrial infrared heaters on their basis were reached at the Forum with a number of Small and mid-size enterprises. Potential application is heating of construction sites and shipyards.

There is a potential for cooperation with the Gazprom companies and representatives of metallurgical business, who are actively implementing programs to reduce the carbon footprint, for example, by turning production residues into commercial building materials such as bricks and paving slabs. They are interested in the high-temperature inorganic pigments developed at the TSC SB RAS.

The equipment and technologies for producing bioactive and bioinert coatings on titanium implants and products developed in close partnership with TPU were of interest to many companies that work in the medicine market. Useful contacts were established with suppliers of necessary components – semiconductors and capacitors.

It is important that in the context of import substitution, state corporations and large industrial companies show a high interest in implementation of scientific developments. TECHNOPROM has become an excellent platform for meeting and communication of science and production, said A.B. Markov, summarizing the results of the Forum, the subject of which was technological sovereignty and sustainable development of Russia.
