A procedure for producing valuable nanopowders by mechanosynthesis has been developed at the Tomsk Scientific Center of the SB RAS
25 sep 2023Scientists (TSC SB RAS) determined optimal modes for the mechanochemical synthesis of spinel cobalt ferrite nanopowders with desired characteristics using complex theoretical calculations and experimental data. The study is published in the high ranked journal Сeramics International (UK, Elsevier). -
Tomsk Scientific Center of SB RAS has summarized research in high-entropy alloys over the past 50 years
30 jun 2023A review of progress and obstacles with high-entropy alloys as structural materials, prepared by scientists Mikhail Slobodyan, Evgeny Pesterev, and Alexey Markov (Tomsk Scientific Centre of SB RAS), has been published in Materials Today Communication (Elsevier BV, Netherlands). A comprehensive 80-page review with over 500 references, covering all major recent works, was published within a month and a half after submission to the journal.

Russian Physics Journal is now located in Akademgorodok
26 apr 2023The Editorial Board of the international Russian Physics Journal, published in English, is now housed in Tomsk Akademgorodok. Tomsk Scientific Center of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences is the journal s partner. The Russian Physics Journal published by Springer is included in Scopus and Web of Science, and its SCImago journal ranking on physics and astronomy is Q3.

Tomsk s scientists implement an integrated approach to producing polymer coatings
6 feb 2023Scientists from IHCE (SB RAS), Tomsk State University, and TSC (SB RAS) have laid the foundations for the synthesis of different polymer coatings with unique properties using a low-pressure glow discharge. Such polymers are in demand in medicine, mechanical engineering, and as protective coatings exploited in space and in the harsh conditions of the Arctic. These results were reported in the high-ranking journal Vacuum .
